ABBA HEAVEN!  New Zealand’s Own Premiere ABBA Tribute Band

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, the band travels nationwide to perform at private parties, clubs, corporate events, festivals, balls, and other promotional events.

ABBA HEAVEN were voted Castaways Resort Top Group at the Variety Artists Club Benny Awards in October 2023. Ness Abernethy won Top Female Artist Award.  These awards are voted by entertainment peers from all around New Zealand.

REBOOT 2022

This lineup being formed in 2018, still includes three of the original band members: ABBA Heaven relaunched in 2022 with new addition, key vocalist Ness Abernethy as Agnetha. She joined vocalists Shaun Petterson (Bjorn) and Pauline Berry (Frida) with keyboardist/Musical Director Stuart Pearce. All but members also perform additionally in “sister group” classic dance covers band “Sugar Town“, also formed in 2018.

PRODUCTION

The band performs with all live vocals, guitar and two keyboardists over custom made studio tracks.  Top Australian and New Zealand musicians were hired to help recreate the sound of ABBA recordings. Thus the musical beds the live vocals, keyboards and guitar are performed over, were produced from scratch by producer and keyboardist Stuart Pearce.

STAGE PRESENTATION

The band performs in custom made replica costumes and some being sourced from the ABBA Museum in Sweden.

Many of the songs are choreographed, as both Ness and Pauline like to move!

THE ABBA SONGS!

Audience participation is encouraged and exceptional at each show. ABBA Heaven! really gets to feel the love, as the audience sings along with SOS, Mamma Mia, Fernando, Gimme Gimme, Voulez Vous, Waterloo, Super Trooper, Lay All Your Love On Me, and of course Dancing Queen!
